Warehouse Team Lead needed for an established, global logistics and supply chain provider located in Bedford Park, IL. This is a full-time, evaluation-to-hire position through a staffing agency, offering a great path to permanent employment with an international company.
Role Overview
The Warehouse Team Lead supports daily floor operations by guiding staff, managing shipping and receiving tasks, and ensuring strict inventory control. You will serve as the point person for your shift to keep the warehouse running safely and efficiently.
Shifts & Availability
Candidates must be flexible to work either of the following standard shifts:
- 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Monday – Friday)
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Monday – Friday)
Key Responsibilities
- Floor Guidance: Delegate daily shift tasks to warehouse associates and monitor productivity.
- Shipping & Receiving: Oversee the loading and unloading of freight and verify incoming shipments.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory accuracy, track stock movement, and resolve discrepancies.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all team members adhere to OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of warehouse leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong background in inventory management and shipping/receiving processes.
- Excellent communication, delegation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment is a plus.
