Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Package Handler for a metal manufacturing company in Bridgeview, IL. This is a great opportunity for candidates with manufacturing, warehouse, or metal processing experience who are looking for a steady first-shift position.
Monday - Friday, 6am-2pm
Responsibilities:
- Prepare metal materials for shipment
- Scan and tag products accurately
- Create and assemble skids for outgoing orders
- Move and position materials using equipment and lift-assist machinery
- Verify materials and shipment information
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
Important:
This position does not require manually lifting large steel coils.
Specialized lifting equipment is used to move materials.
Associates will work alongside the equipment to slide, organize, scan, tag, and prepare products for shipment.
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or shipping experience preferred
- Metal manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical work throughout the shift
- Steel-toe shoes required
