Inventory & Purchasing Coordinator – $19.50/hr to start | $23.04/hr upon hire
Location: Peru, IL
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM (hours may vary)
Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay: $19.50/hour to start | $23.04/hour upon hire (after or within 60 days)

Express Employment Professionals has partnered with a well-established and growing manufacturing company in Peru, IL to recruit a reliable and experienced Inventory & Purchasing Coordinator. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in purchasing, vendor coordination, or maintenance operations who’s ready to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily inventory processes, including issuing and returning materials using Hexagon

Create purchase requisitions for parts, supplies, and rebuild services
-
Pull and stage parts for kitting using assigned pick tickets
-
Perform daily cycle counts and maintain capital spares tracking
-
Complete goods receiving processes and enter receipts into SAP
-
Prepare outbound shipments via FedEx or freight carriers
-
Coordinate repairs by preparing paperwork and managing shipments
-
Reorder inventory by sourcing quotes, checking stock levels, and communicating with vendors

Work with vendors to maintain vendor-managed inventory and establish minimum/maximum levels

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and work areas

Load and transport parts and equipment between main and offsite warehouse locations
Requirements:

Prior or current experience in purchasing, vendor management, or maintenance support

Minimum 6 months of forklift experience

Valid driver’s license (required for operating company truck/trailer)

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
-
Comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment
