Express Employment Professionals has partnered with a reputable manufacturing company in Ottawa, IL, and we are actively seeking a Skilled Laborer for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, experience using hand tools, and the ability to follow instructions with precision.
Position: Skilled Laborer – Manufacturing
Location: Ottawa, IL
Pay: $16.50/hour
Schedule:
-
Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
-
Overtime on Fridays, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (unless otherwise directed)
Job Duties:
-
Operate machinery used in the production process or assist machine operators
-
Perform tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures and manufacturing guidelines
-
Lift, bend, and stand for extended periods during production
-
Use tape measures or rulers for accurate measuring
-
Apply materials using hand/eye coordination with neatness and consistency
-
Examine products to ensure they meet quality standards
-
Package and prepare finished products for shipment
-
Rotate through various tasks in the liner production process
-
Review work orders and follow written/verbal instructions
-
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
-
Communicate production issues to supervisors
-
Complete assigned tasks to meet production schedules and volume
-
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
-
Skilled in using hand tools and accurately reading measurements
-
Strong attention to detail and quality standards

Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
-
Capable of prioritizing and multitasking in a fast-paced environment

Physically capable of lifting materials and standing throughout the shift

Willingness to learn and contribute positively to the team
