Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Lab Technician for a reputable company in Ottawa, IL. This role involves conducting various standardized tests, developing new testing methods, and supporting product development.
Position Details:
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Pay Rate: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour (based on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct testing using standardized ISO and ASTM test methods (55% of role).
- Collaborate with product and process developers to create new test methods and application procedures (40% of role).
- Maintain a laboratory notebook to document data supporting patents, trade secrets, and intellectual property (5% of role).
- Work cross-functionally with production, supply chain, customers, suppliers, and corporate quality teams to support new product development.
- Schedule and oversee test equipment maintenance.
- Provide technical support to production as needed.
- Ensure compliance with current ISO certifications and assist with future certifications.
- Manage small capital projects as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Experience in laboratory testing, product development, or a related field.
- Strong documentation and analytical skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and adapt to evolving testing requirements.
