Director of Sales

Location: Spring Valley, IL
Pay: $75,000 – $90,000 per year (base salary)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, First Shift (additional hours as needed)

Job Overview:
Express Employment Professionals is partnered with a manufacturing company in Spring Valley seeking an experienced Director of Sales to lead business development and commercial strategy. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and building strong relationships with key customers. The Director of Sales will work closely with leadership, operations, and engineering teams to align customer needs with manufacturing capabilities and support long-term growth initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with company growth goals
2. Identify new markets, industries, and high-value opportunities within manufacturing and fabricated components
3. Drive new business through prospecting, networking, industry events, and outreach
4. Lead negotiations, pricing discussions, and contract development with customers
5. Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and executive-level contacts
6. Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to identify opportunities
7. Track sales performance, forecasting, and pipeline reporting to support business planning

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or related field preferred
• 7–10 years of progressive sales leadership experience in manufacturing or related industry
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, metals industry, or fabricated components preferred
• Proven track record of driving revenue growth and expanding market share
• Experience negotiating contracts and managing key customer relationships
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to travel as needed to support customer relationships and business development
