Trailer Mechanic

• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on flatbed, tilt, and enclosed cargo trailers.
• Inspect trailers for safety, mechanical, and structural issues.
• Repair or replace brakes, axles, suspension components, wheel bearings, lights, and wiring.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems.
• Perform welding and fabrication repairs as needed.
• Repair trailer doors, ramps, flooring, and tie-down systems.
• Complete routine inspections to ensure DOT compliance and safe operation.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
• Keep work area clean and follow all safety procedures.

• Previous mechanical experience preferred (trailer, automotive, diesel, farm equipment, or heavy equipment).
• Welding experience is a plus.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work independently.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
