Position Summary
The company is seeking a Plant Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations at their facility located approximately 30–40 minutes south of the Columbus metro area. In this role, you will oversee maintenance staff, programs, and processes to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all plant machinery and equipment. This position reports to the Plant Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the maintenance team through hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance management.
- Communicate expectations clearly while monitoring performance and recommending compensation actions in alignment with company policies.
- Contribute to operational excellence by supporting strategic planning and implementing standards for productivity, quality, safety, and customer service.
- Partner with operating departments to evaluate equipment performance, identify issues, and determine requirements.
- Oversee preventive maintenance programs and ensure proper operation and testing of plant systems and equipment.
- Manage repairs, rebuilds, and replacements of faulty components to maintain continuous operations.
- Drive improvements by analyzing performance data and recommending system upgrades or enhancements.
- Maintain a safe and compliant work environment by adhering to organizational and regulatory standards.
- Prepare and analyze maintenance reports, data, and trends.
- Support broader organizational goals by taking on additional responsibilities as needed.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education, certifications, and hands-on experience.
- 5+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
- 3+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
