Cost Accountant Confidential Global Supplier located in Columbus, IN metro area
Salary: $85K–$95K + Bonus

A global manufacturing supplier is seeking a Cost Accountant to support its expanding finance and operations team. In this role, you will maintain the costing system, support budget and forecast development, and provide accurate cost estimates for new product launches. You will partner closely with Operations to deliver timely, reliable costing information and support inventory, fixed assets, leasing, and forecasting activities. This position reports to the Finance Manager and requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Job Description

Maintain up-to-date cost data for existing products

Support cost-reduction initiatives and cost-saving projects

Lead annual budget costing development

Manage internal/external inventories and cycle counts

Review routings and BOMs for accuracy

Support monthly forecast development
-
Manage and track leases
-
Manage and track fixed assets
-
Participate in the quoting process by partnering with Engineering to provide accurate costing

Track KPIs and complete weekly reporting
-
Conduct financial analysis as needed

Participate in month-end close activities
-
Support financial and SOX audits
-
Perform all other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
-
2+ years of costing experience

Experience with ERP systems
