Job Full Description
Company Information: A commercial cleaning equipment manufacturer on the southside of Indianapolis is hiring a Mechanical/Technical Customer Support Specialist.
Responsibilities
- Provide remote mechanical troubleshooting for commercial cleaning equipment via phone, photos, and video.
- Process and manage customer orders, including pricing, delivery details, and shipment tracking.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding orders, invoices, and accounts; resolve issues professionally.
- Coordinate with sales, production, and warehouse teams to meet customer expectations and delivery timelines.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, including support cases, service history, and technical notes.
- Support customer success through follow-ups and sharing guides, photos, and short instructional videos.
- Manage a moderate call and email volume while prioritizing urgent issues.
REQUIRED Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude with experience repairing or troubleshooting small engines, pumps, or fluid systems. Applicants without mechanical experience will not be considered.
- Experience in technical support or customer service, ideally for equipment or industrial products.
- Ability to diagnose issues and clearly instruct customers remotely.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and messaging tools (e.g., WhatsApp).
- Excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and basic math skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
