We are seeking an Aircrew Life Support Equipment (ALSE) Mechanic I to support critical military aviation and contingency operations at Grissom Air Reserve Base. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to maintain mission-essential life support equipment while supporting logistics, warehouse operations, equipment readiness, and deployment activities.

Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, service, test, and repair aircrew life support and survival equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and operational checks on aviation equipment.
- Conduct equipment inspections and document maintenance activities.
- Manage inventory, equipment accountability, and warehouse operations.
- Receive, store, issue, stage, package, and prepare equipment for shipment and deployment.
- Perform cycle counts and inventory reconciliations using government inventory systems.
- Support maintenance and readiness of aircraft arresting systems and other specialized mechanical equipment.
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment as required.
- Assist with loading, unloading, transportation, and deployment of mission equipment.
- Maintain compliance with technical manuals, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Support contingency operations, exercises, and mission readiness activities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One to four years of experience in one or more of the following:
- Aviation maintenance
- Military logistics or supply
- Equipment maintenance
- Warehouse or inventory management
- Mechanical or industrial maintenance
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance.
- Experience following technical manuals or maintenance procedures.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Military aviation, ALSE, or logistics experience.
- Experience with Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard aviation operations.
- Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Knowledge of hydraulic or mechanical equipment.
- Active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
Physical Requirements
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in warehouse, industrial, and outdoor environments.
- Operate tools, equipment, and material handling vehicles safely.
- Travel occasionally in support of training or mission requirements.
