ALSE Mechanic II
Location: Grissom Air Reserve Base, IN
Pay: $35.00/hour
Schedule: Full-Time

We're seeking an experienced ALSE Mechanic II to support military aviation operations at Grissom Air Reserve Base. This role combines advanced aviation life support equipment maintenance with logistics, warehouse operations, and deployment readiness to help ensure critical equipment is ready when it's needed most.
What You'll Do
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, test, and certify aircrew life support equipment.
- Maintain helmets, oxygen systems, parachutes, survival gear, flotation devices, and other aviation life support equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and functional testing on aircraft arresting systems, generators, hydraulic equipment, compressors, pumps, and other mission support equipment.
- Manage inventory, equipment accountability, warehouse operations, and deployment readiness.
- Prepare equipment for shipment, storage, and contingency operations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and inventory records using government systems.
- Follow Technical Orders, Air Force regulations, and safety standards.
- Provide technical guidance to junior personnel as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of aviation maintenance, military logistics, mechanical maintenance, or related experience.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Experience reading technical manuals and maintenance documentation.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred:
- Military aviation or ALSE experience
- Aircraft arresting system or hydraulic equipment experience
- Forklift experience
- Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain one)
