Saw Operator – 1st Shift
We are seeking a dependable Saw Operator for a full-time, first-shift opportunity with a local metal fabrication manufacturer. This position is responsible for operating industrial saw equipment to cut sheets, bars, plates, and other metal materials to specified dimensions.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Overtime: Some overtime may be requested based on production needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate power saws to cut metal to specified lengths and dimensions.
- Load and position materials manually or with a hoist/crane.
- Align materials using guides, stops, and layout lines.
- Set machine stops and gauges for accurate cuts.
- Verify finished dimensions using tape measures, calipers, or templates.
- Cut various metal materials to required specifications.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with sheet metal.
- Knowledge of tooling and basic tool maintenance.
- Strong measurement skills, including fractions and decimal conversions.
- Ability to identify materials such as aluminum, steel, stainless steel, copper, and brass.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
