Job Full Description
One of the country’s largest high-volume steel processing companies is looking for committed individuals to join their team! As a Metal Bander, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that metal components and products are securely banded and prepared for shipping or further processing.
Responsibilities:
- Tape the steel to get it ready for shipment
- Cleaning the workstation when there’s downtime.
- Properly preparing the units
- Placing the unit tags and cover sheets
Schedule and Pay:
- Thurs 1:00am-7:00am, Thurs-Sat 7:00pm-7:00am
- $16.00/hour
Requirements:
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Needs to multi-task and have good attention to detail
- Constant kneeling, walking and standing.
- Steel toed shoes or boots
- Drug test
