About the Company
Express Employment is seeking a Manual Machinist to join our client’s team.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual machine equipment (e.g., mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders)
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
- Measure and inspect parts using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Maintain tight tolerances and quality standards
- Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping
- Identify and troubleshoot machining issues
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Document production and inspection results as required
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (technical training preferred)
- 4+ years of experience operating manual machining equipment (preferred)
- Strong blueprint reading and math skills
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
