Maintenance Technician | Night Shift | $26-$29
Location: St. Ansgar, IA
Schedule: 2-2-3 rotating schedule | 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Maintenance Technician for a well-established food manufacturing facility in St. Ansgar, IA. This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving plant equipment and facilities while supporting safe, efficient, and reliable operations in a food-grade environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on plant equipment and facilities

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

Operate welders, presses, grinders, and other maintenance equipment

Document all maintenance activities in the computerized maintenance system

Communicate with operations and support teams to minimize downtime
-
Follow all safety policies including Lockout/Tagout, hot work, PPE, and GMPs
-
Maintain clean and organized work areas
-
Participate in shift huddles and team performance discussions
-
Support food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
What We’re Looking For:
-
High school diploma or GED
-
Previous industrial maintenance experience required
-
Welding experience preferred
-
Millwright experience desired
-
Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, power transmission, and machining
-
Experience with compressors, boilers, steam/water systems, HVAC, and electrical troubleshooting
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Comfortable working at heights, in tight spaces, and around grain dust
-
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (team lift for heavier items)
