Warehouse Order Picker
Location: Kansas City, KS
Pay: $19.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm
About the Opportunity
A local company is looking for dependable Warehouse Order Pickers to join its team. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity for individuals looking for consistent hours and the opportunity to become a permanent member of the team. Permanent position includes benefits and other perks.
This position involves general warehouse work, order picking, material handling, and supporting daily warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
- Pick and prepare customer orders accurately.
- Perform general warehouse and material handling duties.
- Read and follow pick sheets and work instructions.
- Move and organize products throughout the warehouse.
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and other warehouse responsibilities as needed.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the warehouse team.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- This company will train associates on the forklift
Requirements
- Ability to speak and read English as required to understand work instructions and safety information.
- General warehouse experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand and remain active throughout the workday.
- Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse that can be hot during the summer and cold during the winter.
- Dependable and team-oriented.
- Must meet required pre-employment screening criteria
Preferred Experience
Previous experience is helpful, but not required. Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- Warehouse order picking.
- Reading pick sheets.
- Warehouse management or inventory systems.
- Forklift operation.
