General Laborer
Position Summary
The General Laborer is responsible for assisting with the daily operations. This position performs a variety of hands-on tasks related to cricket production, facility maintenance, cleaning, feeding, harvesting, packaging, and general farm operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, comfortable working in a farm environment, and able to perform repetitive physical tasks while maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
Key Responsibilities
- Feed and care for according to established procedures.
- Monitor habitats and report any issues to management.
- Assist with harvesting, sorting, and handling.
- Clean and sanitize bins, trays, equipment, and work areas.
- Move and organize supplies, feed, containers, and equipment.
- Load and unload materials as needed.
- Assist with packaging and preparing products for shipment.
- Maintain proper temperature, humidity, and cleanliness of production areas as directed.
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and animal-care procedures.
- Perform general facility and grounds maintenance.
- Operate basic hand tools and equipment when trained.
- Dispose of waste and maintain an organized work environment.
- Assist coworkers and supervisors with additional farm duties as needed.
- Maintain consistent productivity and attention to detail throughout the workday.
