Flagger
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Flagger to help direct traffic and maintain safe work zones around construction and roadway projects. The ideal candidate is alert, responsible, comfortable working outdoors, and able to communicate clearly with motorists and coworkers.
Responsibilities
- Direct and control traffic safely through construction and work zones.
- Use STOP/SLOW paddles, hand signals, and other approved traffic-control methods.
- Set up and remove cones, barricades, signs, and other traffic-control devices.
- Communicate with other flaggers, construction crews, and supervisors using radios or hand signals.
- Monitor traffic and identify potential hazards.
- Assist construction vehicles and equipment safely entering and exiting work zones.
- Maintain a safe distance from moving traffic and construction equipment.
- Follow all company, project, and work-zone safety procedures.
- Wear required high-visibility clothing and personal protective equipment.
- Complete assigned work-zone setup, breakdown, and cleanup duties.
