Job Full Description
a leading distributor of HVAC/R equipment, components and supplies serving Maryland, Washington D.C., Virginia and Delaware. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the counter sales team in our Baltimore, MD branch location. The Counter Sales Associate will be responsible for selling to contractors alongside experienced HVAC customer service personnel. We searching for a candidate who is a team player with a passion for customer service, commitment to driving sales and reaching branch goals.
Pay-$18
Job Functions:
- Accurately and efficiently process customer transactions such as providing pricing, quotes, processing orders and managing returns
- Generate new and repeat sales by educating customers about products
- Proactively recommend items needed by the customer to increase customer satisfaction and improve profitability
- Support and maintain branch appearance, assisting with stocking shelves and merchandising in showroom and/or warehouse
- Provide excellent customer service at the counter while maintaining a positive attitude
- Assist customers with their HVAC parts and equipment needs both in person, text, and telephone
- Excellent communication skills, with a focus on internal and external customers
- Work in a team environment, supporting multiple product lines
- Knowledgeable in HVAC products
- Basic computer fluency and comfort with the ability to quickly gain necessary skills
- Demonstrate basic mathematical aptitude and function
- Strong interpersonal skills in sales and problem solving
- Positive attitude towards learning
- Participate in trainings to maintain and grow knowledge of products and skills
- Performs all other associated duties as assign by leadership team
- Duties include but are not limited to clearing of debris, pallets and cartons, sweeping, vacuuming, cleaning bathroom, emptying trash, tidying shelves, and loading/unloading by hand or using material handling equipment such as hand truck or forklift, able to drive company vehicle to make deliveries
- Professionally represent by wearing the approved company uniform and abiding by company grooming standards at all times.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Able to lift more than 50 pounds
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Excellent organization skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Computer skills and willingness to learn new operational procedures
- Knowledge of HVAC systems is helpful but not required
- Counter or outside sales experience preferred
- Able to operate forklift
