Job Full Description
Express Employment - Baltimore is looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to join our client's team in a busy lumber yard/warehouse in the East Baltimore area. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience handling lumber and building materials, excellent attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork. This is a 1st shift, Mon - Fri opportunity.
Responsibilities

Operate forklifts (8000 - 15000Lbs) to load, unload, and move lumber and building materials

Safely stack, organize, and store products in designated areas

Assist with order picking and staging materials for delivery or pickup

Inspect equipment daily and report maintenance or safety issues

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Work collaboratively with yard staff, drivers, and customers
Qualifications
-
Minimum 1–2 years of forklift experience, preferably in a lumber yard or building materials environment

Valid forklift operator certification (or recently certified at another jobsite)

Knowledge of lumber sizes, grades, and storage methods

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Commitment to following all safety procedures and company policies
