Job Full Description
We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our client's manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for welding high-quality components used in the production of commercial and industrial ovens. The ideal candidate has experience with stainless steel fabrication, precision welding, and maintaining strict quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform TIG (GTAW) welding on stainless steel and other metals used in oven manufacturing
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols
- Fabricate, assemble, and weld oven components to exact specifications
- Ensure welds meet structural and cosmetic quality standards
- Inspect finished welds for accuracy, strength, and appearance
- Operate grinders, polishers, and other fabrication tools as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company and OSHA standards
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to meet deadlines and improve processes
Qualifications
- 2+ years of TIG welding experience (stainless steel preferred)
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Ability to use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures)
- Knowledge of welding safety procedures and best practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in food-grade or commercial equipment manufacturing
- AWS welding certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Familiarity with MIG welding is a plus
- Experience working with thin-gauge materials
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
