Job Summary
Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Sanitation Technician for a food manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary production environment while ensuring compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
SHIFT: 1pm-10pm, occasionally Saturdays for a half day.
Responsibilities
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and company sanitation procedures.
- Clean and sanitize production equipment, machinery, work areas, restrooms, and other facility areas.
- Follow detailed work instructions while cleaning equipment and production areas.
- Safely handle and use cleaning chemicals according to established guidelines and instructions.
- Clean, inspect, and properly store sanitation equipment, including mops, buckets, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report any equipment damage, maintenance concerns, or safety hazards to management.
- Maintain a safe work environment and immediately report accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and work schedules.
- Work independently and efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1 year in food manufacturing sanitation
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to learn new methods and procedures.
- Strong attendance and punctuality record.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to work in wet, dusty, and fast-paced environments.
- Comfortable working at heights and climbing ladders.
- Frequent bending, stretching, twisting, reaching, and lifting.
- Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to push, pull, carry, and move equipment and materials.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
