Upholsterer Job Summary: A furniture company in the Kentwood area is looking for an Upholsterer to join their team. This is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action/Veteran/Disability Employer
Upholsterer Requirements:
- Upholstering various furniture items
- Comfortable working with leathers and various upholstery textiles
- Measuring and cutting materials as needed
- Using and operating tools such as pneumatic screwdrivers and hand tools
- Gluing, cutting foam, matching fabric patterns and stapling
- Willing to help in other areas as needed
Schedule & Pay:
- 1st shift Monday – Thursday 5:00a-330pm with overtime on Friday and Saturday as needed
- $18.00/HR and up commensurate with experience
Upholsterer Qualifications:
- Upholstery experience preferred but not required
- Good understanding of quality control principles
- Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings etc.
- Ability to stand for duration of the shift
- Able to see color
- Ability to occasionally walk, bend, crouch, kneel as needed
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work with a variety of tools
- History of excellent attendance and punctuality
- Excellent math, measuring and manual dexterity
