Furnace Operator Job Summary:
We are looking for a Furnace Operator at one of the largest heat treating assembly company's in North America. Located in Wyoming, MI, this company is looking for someone who is a team player, dependable, reliable, hard-working, and has a great attendance record and references. This company not only has competitive wages and benefits, but it also has opportunity for growth. The work environment can be hot and also can be temperature controlled.
Furnace Operator Responsibilities:
- Prepares work for processing; loads and unloads furnaces, bins, fixtures, baskets, etc.
- Brings any unusual problems or irregularities to the attention of the supervisor.
- Practices and promotes safety and good housekeeping.
- Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.
- Able to Troubleshoot and fix minor issues with the machine
- Operates, controls, and monitors heat treating equipment as required and written in procedures on shop traveler and/or customer paperwork.
Schedule & Pay:
- 2nd Shift 2:00pm-10:30pm Monday-Friday with overtime as required, company works 7 days a week at times
- Training on 1st shift- 6am-2:30pm
- $19-22/HR
Furnace Operator Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
- Ability to bend, pull, stoop and reach to perform functions
- Must be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time in an industrial environment
- Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift operation certification.
- This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holders.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.
- Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
