Porter/ Grounds Job Summary:
We are seeking a porter/ grounds tech for a growing property management group in Grand Rapids, MI. This role is responsible for ensuring the property’s buildings, grounds, and equipment are well-maintained and in excellent working order.
Porter/ Grounds Responsibilities:
- Weeding buildings/flower beds.
- Picking up small bits of trash throughout the property
- Helping move large appliances with maintenance and an electric dolly, if needed
- Power washing vacant garages and misc. areas on the property
- Work collaboratively with the property management team to ensure a high standard of living for residents
- Light cleaning duties including checking restrooms and amenities for cleanliness/toilet paper/etc
- Building turnovers to prepare for new residents (working with maintenance crew)
- Grounds work, snow shoveling, and general support to the team
Schedule: 1st shift, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday
Pay: $17.00-$18.00/hr
Porter/ Grounds Qualifications:
- 1-3 Years of experience in landscaping, facilities maintenance, construction or a similar role
- Ability to use power tools and basic tools
- Must have your own vehicle, a valid driver's license
- Willingness to work outdoors and indoors and in all kinds of weather conditions
- Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds frequently
- Customer friendly
- Takes pride in their appearance and dress
