Job Full Description
Brake Press Operator Job Summary: A progressive and innovative builder of custom machinery is seeking a brake press operator to join their 1st shift team.
Brake Press Operator Responsibilities:
- Operate Cincinnati and Trumpf brake presses
- Loads and unloads delivered sheet metal onto racks
- Bulk sheet metal skid management
- Reads tape measure easily
- Identifies proper material being used from parts list
- Selects type of material and quantity from sheet metal cut list
- Ensures materials are properly deburred
- ensure identification of finished pieces with part number that come off the laser
- Removes excess sheet metal from tray/table bed
- Responsible for laser maintenance: cleaning, emptying pans, replacing filters
- Reads, understands, and interprets parts lists and engineering drawings
- Sets up brake press for bending procedures
Schedule: 1st shift, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm; overtime as required
Pay: $24
Brake Press Operator Qualifications:
- Uses overhead crane to move sheet metal
- Operate a hi-lo
- Mostly standing and walking work.
- Frequently pulling, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
- Possession of High School Diploma or GED
- Accuracy in reading a tape measure up to 1/16”
- Tape measure accuracy, good math skills, ability to set-up machine
- Trumpf and Cincinnati Brake presses, tape measures, calipers, combination square, protractor
