Racker/Inspector Flex Job Summary:
A Kentwood automotive supplier is looking for Racker/Inspector Flex team members to join their growing operation. This company manufactures decorative interior automotive parts and is seeking dependable individuals with a strong work ethic, quality mindset, and the flexibility to support multiple areas of the paint line process. Team members will be cross-trained in both racking and inspection duties to support production needs.
Racker/Inspector Flex Responsibilities:
- Prepare and position parts on racks for the paint process.
- Perform visual inspections to verify products meet quality standards.
- Identify and report quality defects or non-conforming parts.
- Use measurement tools and inspection methods as required.
- Pack finished parts after inspection according to specifications.
- Assist Line Technicians with filters, housekeeping, and other support tasks.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support production operations.
Schedule & Pay:
- 1st shift 7:00am-3:00pm Monday-Friday, mandatory OT on weekends
- 16.00/HR + $1.00 Premium
Racker Qualifications:
- Excellent Attendance, dependable, and reliable
- Ability to stand for 8+ hours throughout shift
- Ability to repeatedly move arm up and down, back and forth 8+ hours per day
- Able to lift up to 20lbs regularly and 35lbs occasionally
- Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully
- Works well independently and in a team setting
- Reading, writing, and basic math skills
