Yard Switcher/Hilo Driver/Dock Worker Job Summary:
We are looking to fill a Yard Switcher position at a national manufacturer of insulation products in Byron Center, MI. They develop and manufacture expanded polystyrene insulation products for construction, packaging, and OEM products. Yard Switcher/Hilo Driver/Dock Worker Responsibilities:
- Moving trucks in the yard to and from the parking lot and loading docks
- Maintain the trailer inventory and material and update the trailer board
- QC checks, counting, assuring that everything is verified
- Loading finished product onto trailer for shipping with forklift and by hand
- Emptying recycling containers and assist with grinding materials and recycling
- Keeping the yard clear of snow and areas such as walkways, exit rows and work areas clean and neat
- Assisting with production as needed
Schedule & Pay:
- 2nd shift 3:00pm-11:30pm but required to stay until the days work is completed and overtime as required
- $22.00/HR
Yard Switcher/Hilo Driver/Dock Worker Qualifications:
- Valid Drivers License
- Prior experience or training driving switcher truck and backing trailers into the loading dock
- Flexible to work in different departments
- Current forklift license
- High school diploma
- Able to lift up to 70 pounds
- Able to work outside in all weather conditions
- Able to operate a snow blower
- Possess basic computer skills for data entry
