Job Full Description
Express Employment of Monroe is hiring a Welder/Fabricator with MIG and TIG welding skills for production welding, part fabrication, and support work in the laser and forming department. Candidates should be mechanically inclined, motivated to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced shop environment.
We welcome welders fresh out of trade school as long as they have hands-on experience and a strong desire to learn.
Shift: 6am-4:30pm
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metals
- Grind nickel electroforms, stainless steel rod, and sheet metal
- Operate saws, belt sanders, Matobo cut-off wheel, and additional power tools
- Use hand tools for fabrication and finishing
- Operate press equipment (training provided)
- Assist with general shop duties, including cleanup and material handling
- Support the laser & forming department as needed
Qualifications
Required:
- MIG & TIG welding experience (school or professional)
- Ability to read and use standard hand and power tools
- Must provide your own welding helmet
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
Preferred:
- 1+ year experience in:
- MIG/TIG welding
- Press operation
- Warehouse or mechanical labor
- Experience with grinding, fabrication, or metal finishing
