Now Hiring: Maintenance Technician I
Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician I for a growing manufacturing facility in Temperance, MI. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity for candidates with mechanical aptitude and experience working with production equipment in the food/beverage industry.
Pay
- $29.00 per hour
- Weekly pay through Express Employment Professionals
Schedule
- Monday through Thursday
- Overtime available on Fridays/weekends as needed
Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for machine setup, changeovers, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and assisting with equipment repairs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined and comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform machine setups and changeovers
- Troubleshoot and assist with equipment repairs
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections
- Diagnose production equipment issues
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings
- Assist with PLC-related troubleshooting and equipment operation
- Maintain safety, quality, and housekeeping standards
- Communicate equipment issues and repair progress with leadership
- Follow all regulatory and company safety requirements
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Mechanical maintenance or machine repair experience preferred
- Experience with maintenance in the food/beverage industry
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures
- Must be able to pass a background check
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with machinery and production equipment
