CDL Driver

We are seeking a motivated individuals to fill our Driver careers. CDL- Class A Drivers are needed for our growing company! Some overtime and flexibility may be necessary.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for safe pick-up, loading, delivery, and unloading of materials and equipment.
- Ensure equipment and trucks are in proper working order according to manufactures specifications, and to federal DOT requirements, make minor repairs as needed.
- Reports damaged equipment immediately to dispatcher.
- Schedules major repairs with Dispatcher.
- Ensures all equipment is properly serviced prior to loading, full of fuel and ready for operation.
- Ensures loads are properly secured, materials are properly protected from shifting, and wind damage.
- Ensures that items will not dislodge and fall from vehicle while in transport.
- Ensures vehicles are cleaned daily inside and out, wash equipment is available for use.
- Operating various tools and equipment is an essential function including skid steers, excavators and various hand tools.
- Assists landscape crews as needed.
- Assists with maintaining orderly yard.
- Effective communication/interaction is expected with clients, project managers and foreman, etc.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Able to foresee and resolve potential problems.
- Ability to bend, kneel, walk, stand, and lift for long periods of time in all types of weather conditions.
- Accurate record keeping.
- Provide a safe and clean work environment.
- Maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
- Responsible for and willingness to enforce company’s policy and procedures.
Hours:
- Typical days of operation in season are Monday through Friday 6:00 am till 6:00 pm according to day to day needs.
- Weather, deadlines, etc. may affect day to day schedule.
- Hours worked may be more or less than business operating hours.
- Daily start and stop times may be adjusted according to daily requirement.
- During peak season, willingness to work overtime and Saturdays as required.
- Must be available and on call during the snow season according to snow policy.
