This position in a fast-paced industrial environment with exposure to dust, chemicals, varying temperatures, and noise. WORKING ROTATING SHIFTS. ROTATES BETWEEN DAYS AND NIGHTS - Every 3 weeks. 12 hour shifts and every other weekend work WILL BE required
You MUST be able to provide HS Diploma/GED.
Key Responsibilities
Common duties in this role focus on the safe and efficient movement, storage, and preparation of raw materials to support continuous production on the tire manufacturing lines:
- Receiving and unloading — Unload trucks, containers, or rail cars delivering raw materials. Inspect shipments for damage, verify quantities against paperwork, and document receipts.
- Storage and organization — Move materials to designated warehouse or storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment. Follow specific storage procedures (e.g., by material type, lot number, or FIFO—first in, first out—to maintain quality).
- Staging and preparation — Weigh, measure, or prepare raw materials (sometimes involving basic mixing or cutting). Stage materials for delivery to production areas like mixing, extrusion, or calendaring departments.
- Inventory management — Track stock levels, perform cycle counts, label materials accurately, and report shortages or discrepancies. Use inventory systems or scanners.
- Outbound/shipping support — Occasionally prepare and load shipments of raw materials, spare parts, or waste. Ensure proper labeling and documentation.
- Housekeeping and safety — Maintain a clean, organized workspace using 5S principles (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain). Follow all plant safety, environmental, and quality protocols.
- Equipment operation — Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment. Some roles require certification (often provided on-site).
- Team coordination — Communicate with production operators, supervisors, and other warehouse staff to ensure timely material flow.
