Job Full Description

MIG Welder – 2nd Shift

We are seeking an experienced MIG Welder for a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of MIG welding experience and be able to produce quality welds while following safety and production standards.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform MIG welding on steel and other metal components

  • Read and follow blueprints, work orders, drawings, and welding symbols

  • Set up and safely operate welding equipment

  • Inspect completed welds for quality and accuracy

  • Use measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances

  • Grind, clean, and prepare materials before and after welding

  • Assist with basic fabrication and assembly as needed

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

  • Follow all safety policies and procedures

  • Work with team members to meet production goals

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of MIG welding experience required

  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment

  • Blueprint and welding diagram reading skills preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship

  • Knowledge of welding safety practices

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Must be able to wear required PPE

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods

  • Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, and welding fumes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Welding certification is a plus

  • Previous manufacturing or fabrication experience

  • Experience with basic fabrication and assembly
