Now Hiring: Lumberyard Foreman | Monday–Friday 8am–5pm
Express Employment Professionals is hiring for a full-time, long-term position with a reputable local lumberyard supply company!
Do you have leadership experience in a lumberyard, construction, or warehouse setting? Are you ready to take ownership of day-to-day yard operations and lead a team toward success? If so, this is the opportunity for you!
Your Mission:
Supervise all activities of the lumberyard, including staff supervision, inventory control, equipment maintenance, scheduling deliveries, and providing top-tier customer service. This is a key leadership role in a busy yard environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations of the lumberyard and all yard personnel

Coordinate with dispatch for timely scheduling of trucks and deliveries

Ensure accurate unloading/loading of customer, company, and supplier trucks
-
Maintain organized, clean, and safe yard and warehouse areas
-
Train, lead, and motivate the yard crew to meet company goals
-
Ensure proper storage and rotation of materials
-
Verify delivery accuracy and report shortages/damages
-
Enforce safety procedures and conduct regular equipment inspections
-
Supervise inventory levels and perform regular inventory checks
-
Maintain timecards, approve schedules, and oversee personnel management
-
Facilitate customer interactions in the yard for satisfaction and efficiency
-
Process and restock returns within 24 hours

Spot sales opportunities and communicate them with the team
What You Bring:

Prior experience in a lumberyard, warehouse, or construction environment

Proven leadership and team management skills

Ability to operate power equipment safely and efficiently

Strong organizational and time-management abilities

Familiarity with proper loading techniques and local market area a plus
