AutoCAD Drafter – Land Surveying & Mapping
Location:Vestal, NY
Schedule:Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Compensation:$24–$30/hr (based on experience)

Our Client is expanding and looking for a detail-oriented AutoCAD Drafter to join our dynamic team. If you’re passionate about precision, maps, and transforming raw survey data into clean, professional drawings, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
- Draft boundary surveys, topographic maps, and site plans using AutoCAD
- Interpret field notes and survey data to produce accurate drawings
- Collaborate with surveyors and project managers to ensure deliverables meet client expectations
- Maintain organized drawing files and documentation
- Assist with architectural drafting when needed

Whether you're fresh out of school or a seasoned drafter, we value your growth mindset and attention to detail. Ideal candidates will have:
Core Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting essential)
- Familiarity with Lake Infinity (our primary surveying software)
- Experience with other land surveying programs such as:
- Carlson Survey
- AutoCAD Civil 3D
- MicroStation
- Trimble Business Center
- Understanding of coordinate systems, elevation data, and plat maps
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Bachelors in Architecture, Engineering, or related fields
Bonus Points
- Architectural drafting experience
- Knowledge of state plane coordinate systems and vertical datum
- Experience creating annotative labels, viewports, and managing point groups
Compensation & Perks
- $24/hr for entry-level candidates with relevant education
- Up to $30/hr for candidates with 5+ years of experience
