FOCUS AREA 1: INSPECTIONS
1A. Field Review — What the Field Coordinator Does
Simple version: You go out and re-check a small sample of the contractor’s inspections to make sure they did it right.
Broken down:
- You get a list of assets to re-inspect.
- You go to each location and look at the equipment yourself.
- You don’t look at the contractor’s notes first — you give your own unbiased opinion.
- You send your results back to the Technicians.
Your purpose:
Make sure the contractor’s field inspections are accurate and trustworthy.
1B. Office Review — What the Field Coordinator Does
Simple version: You check the contractor’s paperwork, photos, and assigned priority levels to confirm they make sense.
Broken down:
- You review Priority 1–3 notifications online.
- You look at the photos and descriptions.
- You check:
- Does the priority match the issue?
- Did they describe the problem correctly?
- You log your assessment.
- If something looks wrong, it gets corrected.
Your purpose:
Make sure defects are documented correctly and urgently so repairs happen properly.
FOCUS AREA 2: REPAIRS
What the Field Coordinator Does
Simple version: You go out and make sure repairs that were reported as “done” were actually done for real.
Broken down:
- You get a list of repairs to check (10% sample).
- You go to each asset in the field.
- You look at the issue and verify that the repair matches what was reported.
- You send your findings back for the Repair Assessment Report.
- If a repair wasn’t actually made, you help escalate it.
Your purpose:
Make sure the system isn’t just “checking boxes” — the repairs were actually completed.
