Driver/Laborer (CDL Class A or B Required)
A Local Township is seeking a dependable and hardworking Driver/Laborer to support township road, maintenance, and public works operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating a variety of equipment, and serving the local community.
Position Details
- Starting Pay: $26.07 per hour
- Pay Increase: Available upon successful completion of the probationary period
- Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Overtime Opportunities: Available for:
- After-hours projects (volunteer basis when possible)
- Snow plowing and winter operations
- Emergency road clearing and storm response
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain township vehicles and equipment
- Perform road maintenance, repair, and construction activities
- Assist with snow removal, storm cleanup, and emergency response operations
- Complete general labor duties as assigned
- Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment
- Work safely and effectively as part of a team
Equipment Operated
Qualified candidates may operate a variety of township equipment, including:
- Dump Trucks
- Bucket Trucks
- Excavators
- Paving Equipment
- Tractors
- Snow Removal Equipment
- Additional heavy equipment as needed
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or Class B license required
- Ability to safely operate heavy equipment and commercial vehicles
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Strong work ethic and willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to respond to emergency situations, including snow and storm events
