Metal Shop Associate / Finishing Technician
Pay: $20.00 – $27.00 per hour (based on experience)
We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated individual with experience in a metal shop or manufacturing environment for a client in the Rochester area!
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who takes pride in quality work and is comfortable working with a variety of equipment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform general shop duties including deburring metal parts
- Grind and sand metal components to achieve a paint-quality finish
- Operate equipment such as timesaver wide belt sanders, stroke sanders, and tumbling machines
- Assist with various production tasks throughout the facility as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a metal shop or manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience with metal finishing, including grinding and sanding to a high-quality finish
- Ability to operate or willingness to learn the following equipment:
- Amada Laser
- Amada Turret Punch Press
- Amada Press Brake
- PEM Machine
- CNC Lathe
- CNC Mill
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Flexibility to perform a variety of tasks across the facility
