Job Full Description

We’re searching for a collaborative and experienced accounting professional. This dual function role is approximately 80% accounting (with a strong focus on cash flow and accounts payable) and 20% human resources. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with numbers, thrives on accuracy, and also values supporting people processes that keep the workplace running smoothly.

 

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Accounting (80%)

  • Manage full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice entry, coding, approvals, and payment processing.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Prepare weekly check runs, ACH payments, and credit card reconciliations.
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals and AP reporting.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records in compliance with company policies.
  • Support audits by providing documentation and schedules related to AP.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate payments.

Human Resources (20%)

  • Assist with new hire onboarding, including paperwork, orientation, and benefits enrollment in partnership with 3rd party administrator.
  • Maintain employee personnel files and HR documentation.
  • Coordinate employee communications related to policies, benefits, and company updates.
  • Provide general administrative support to HR projects as needed (compliance reporting, employee engagement, training logistics).

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience, with strong knowledge of accounts payable processes.
  • Experience in HR or payroll support is a plus.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees, vendors, and stakeholders.
