Job Title: Warranty & Customer Support (Automotive Manufacturing)

Overview:
Under the direction of the Customer Support Manager, the Warranty & Customer Support Representative plays a key role in supporting warranty programs and non-warranty service requirements for our automotive manufacturing operations. This position combines customer service expertise with hands-on technical skills to evaluate, test, and resolve product issues in alignment with company philosophy and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Customer Service with resolving technical issues and product questions.
  • Evaluate and test products returned under warranty in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assess and determine disposition of Returned Material Authorizations (RMAs).
  • Provide prompt, professional responses to customer inquiries on technical issues or warranty claims.
  • Escalate complex product or service concerns to the appropriate supervisor, manager, or engineering staff.
  • Maintain the warranty database, ensuring accurate documentation of claim disposition, product analysis, and credit issuance.
  • Participate in and help prepare training sessions and Service Schools.
  • Diagnose problems, provide technical assistance, and recommend solutions for field service challenges.
  • Disassemble, analyze, and repair returned products (e.g., pumps, reels) as needed to determine warranty eligibility and ensure proper function.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED); technical training a plus.
  • Technical background and/or aptitude with mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of fluid management systems and products preferred.
  • Ability to lift equipment (up to 50 lbs.) and work in various manufacturing or service environments.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical findings to both customers and internal staff.
