Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and analytical Property Accountant to support the financial operations of a commercial property portfolio. This role is ideal for someone organized, accurate, and able to balance multiple priorities while meeting critical deadlines.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and on time.

  • Record and reconcile rent payments, tenant charges, and bank statements.

  • Prepare and distribute monthly financial statements, aging reports, and budget variance reports.

  • Assist with preparation of annual operating budgets and Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations.

  • Maintain accurate tenant, vendor, and property records.

  • Communicate with owners, tenants, and vendors regarding billing, payments, and financial questions.

  • Review lease agreements and maintain rent rolls.

  • Support use of Yardi, Microsoft Office, and Google for Business applications.

  • Provide backup support to leadership and assist with errands or site visits as needed.

  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (required).

  • 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience; commercial real estate experience a plus.

  • Proficiency in Yardi, Microsoft Office, and Google for Business.

  • Experience analyzing and understanding lease agreements and terms.

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Valid NC driver’s license and ability to travel to offsite property locations.

  • Must pass background check.

  • Real estate license a plus.
