Local college needs workers for various events for homecoming on October 11th.
Description of duties:
The overall function of this position is to efficiently manage entry into university events by checking tickets and assisting attendees, ensuring a smooth and orderly process for entry. Also to ensure the safety and security of attendees at campus events by effectively operating metal detection equipment and screening individuals for prohibited items such as weapons or other dangerous objects using metal detection equipment.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Prior experience in customer service
Availability to work that Saturday regardless of the weather
Attention to details and ability to accurately verify tickets.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work long hours on your feet.
Ability to quickly identify and tactfully address issues that may arise at events.
