Overview
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting the monthly close process for multi –locations fast food franchise restaurant operation. Assists in making improvements or accounting changes and provide ongoing support to the CFO.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Performs monthly bank account reconciliations.
· Performs the daily cash receipts verification and reconciliation
· Assists in supporting the monthly financial close
· Assists in the annual audit\tax preparation process.
· Participates in special projects as needed.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Education Required: Associates Degree in Accounting
Experience Required: Experience with bank account reconciliations, general ledger accounting and month end closing procedures. Three to five years of relevant accounting experience.
Skills Required: Strong accounting, analytical, and “critical thinking” skills: detail orientated and ability to multitask. Must be an independent, self-starting individual, able to prioritize multiple tasks, work under strict deadlines and exhibit a team player attitude. Proficient in Microsoft Office; Advanced Excel is desirable. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Preferred: Knowledge with Sage/MAS 100 accounting software.
