Meat Band Saw Operator
Express Pros - Fayettville is hiring a Meat Band Saw Operator food manufacturing plant.
Key Responsibilities: Operates, cleans, and maintains band saws to cut fresh meat into precise, specific sizes. Adjusting machinery, adhering to strict safety protocols (using guards and pushers), and managing product quality.
Skills:
- Machine Operation: Set up, adjust, and operate band saws to cut meat to specific, consistent sizes and dimensions.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to strict safety protocols, including using guard assemblies and pusher plates, keeping hands away from the blade.
- Production & Quality: Meet yield and throughput standards, inspecting raw material for defects and inspecting finished cuts for quality.
- Sanitation: Thoroughly clean, sanitize, and disassemble the saw daily or between tasks, following food safety regulations.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, such as replacing blades and lubricating moving parts.
Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience in food processing or meat cutting, using a band saw.
- Skills: Strong hand-eye coordination, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in cold environments.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift heavy materials (often up to 50 lbs) and stand for long periods.
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
