This is a Housekeeping job at a Motel here is Greensboro. You will be responsible for cleaning and turning rooms. 

We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our team and contribute to the cleanliness and organization of our facilities. The Housekeeper will play a vital role in ensuring a welcoming and sanitary environment for both guests and staff. This position involves a variety of cleaning tasks, including maintaining floors, making beds, dusting surfaces, and managing common areas.

Housekeepers may work in a range of settings, including private households, hotels, and healthcare facilities. The role requires physical stamina, as you should be able to lift up to 25 pounds and perform tasks that require bending, standing, and moving throughout the day. Responsibilities

Housekeeper Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning tasks in assigned areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Maintain all rooms and common areas, ensuring they are kept to a high standard of cleanliness and organization.
  • Change bed linens and towels, and replenish supplies as needed to enhance guest comfort.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
  • Follow established cleaning procedures and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assist with laundry duties, including washing, drying, ironing, and folding linens and garments.
  • Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies are low to ensure uninterrupted service.
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests, responding to their requests and needs promptly and courteously.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operations and enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Undergo training and adhere to the company's policies regarding work shifts, guest possessions, and privacy issues.
  • Conduct basic housekeeping duties, including changing sheets, arranging towels, restocking toilet supplies, and rearranging rooms after guests check out.
  • Report and return any guest properties found in the rooms while rendering service, ensuring guest belongings are handled with care.
  • Report cases of property damage in commercial spaces to the supervisor for appropriate action.
  • Work effectively as part of a team of housekeepers on each shift to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Clean, disinfect, and store all cleaning equipment at the end of the shift to ensure readiness for future use.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with employees and guests, fostering a welcoming environment.
  • Monitor and report on the inventory of cleaning supplies to ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Respond to calls for housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glass, to maintain safety and cleanliness.
  • Collect and remove trash and debris from all areas to uphold cleanliness standards.
  • Keep the linen room stocked and organized for efficient access to supplies.
  • Properly clean upholstered furniture to maintain its appearance and hygiene.
  • Perform detailed deep cleans when required to ensure thorough sanitation and upkeep of facilities.

Requirements and skills

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a housekeeper or in a similar role.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull at least 35 lbs.
  • Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, bend, stretch, stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods.
  • Must follow management assignments, policies, and procedures.
  • Remain free from illegal drug use.
  • Must consent to a background check.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of performance.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, along with familiarity with health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning and maintenance.
