Job Full Description
We are seeking an experienced TIG Pipe Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pipe welding, including TIG welding on stainless steel, carbon steel, and other alloys. This position requires the ability to read blueprints, interpret weld symbols, and produce high-quality welds that meet industry standards and customer specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform TIG welding on pipe, tubing, and related components according to specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, weld procedures, and fabrication documents
• Measure, cut, fit, align, and assemble pipe and structural components prior to welding
• Perform root, fill, and cap welds while maintaining high quality standards
• Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with quality and safety requirements
• Operate grinders, beveling equipment, measuring devices, and other fabrication tools
• Maintain welding equipment and ensure proper operation
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations
• Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet production deadlines
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications
• Minimum of 3 years of TIG pipe welding experience preferred
• Experience welding stainless steel, carbon steel, and various pipe materials
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings
• Knowledge of pipe fitting and fabrication techniques
• Ability to perform accurate measurements using tape measures, calipers, and other measuring tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to pass a TIG pipe welding test
• Reliable transportation and excellent attendance required
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in various positions for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Ability to work in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
