Position Summary
As a Plumbing Piping Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our pre-construction phase, ensuring that our projects are accurately estimated and delivered within budget. You will be responsible for analyzing project plans, preparing bids, and collaborating with project managers and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze project specifications and plans to determine scope of work.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for plumbing and piping projects.
- Conduct material takeoffs and evaluate labor and equipment costs.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to refine estimates.
- Prepare and present bids to clients, explaining the breakdown of costs.
- Identify potential project risks and recommend cost-saving measures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a plumbing piping estimator or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and construction methods.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
