Express Employment Professionals of Fargo, ND is seeking an experienced, hands-on individual for a Skilled Grounds & Construction Lead position. This role is ideal for someone with previous construction experience who can work independently, take ownership of projects, and potentially lead a small crew.
The position involves a variety of outdoor maintenance, construction, and seasonal projects. The ideal candidate has experience in areas such as concrete, framing, general construction, or related skilled trades.
Responsibilities
- Perform lawn mowing, grounds maintenance, and outdoor property work
- Complete and assist with construction projects from start to finish
- Perform hands-on work involving framing, concrete, carpentry, and general construction
- Read and follow project plans and instructions
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Assist with material planning, staging, and job-site organization
- Work independently with limited supervision
- Help direct and coordinate a small crew when needed
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Perform seasonal snow removal and winter maintenance
- Assist with other projects and duties as needed
Qualifications
- Previous construction or skilled labor experience required
- Experience with concrete, framing, carpentry, or similar construction work strongly preferred
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field
- Leadership experience or the ability to direct a small crew preferred
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Able to perform physically demanding work
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
