Express Employment Professionals- Akron is searching for a Production Supervisor on 2nd shift in the Barberton, Ohio area
About the Role:
The Production Supervisor will be in charge supervising 4-7 employees in a rubber manufacturing environment. The company produces rubber products to specific shapes and quality standards
Starting pay $66k-80k per year
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of 4-7 people.
- Hands on supervisor. Regularly filling in as an operator when short people or during lunches and breaks.
- The ability to move quickly from work station to work station when continuous flow production has an issue.
- Ability to think on their feet, prioritize, and act quickly.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong ability to identify subtle defects and ensure product consistency
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects (e.g., 25-50 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks and fine motor skills.
- Basic understanding of machinery operation and the ability to troubleshoot minor issues.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good math (counting) and written communication skills.
- Efficient time management skills and ability to effectively multitask.
- Basic computer literacy needed.
- Creative problem solving
